We machined a threaded component that needed to be expedited for a power generation application. The parts were turned and milled on our Doosan GT2100M from ASTM A582 416 condition T stainless steel. The tight tolerances meant that the OD of the part had to be ground after machining to meet the drawing requirements.

This condition is specified for numerous engineering applications, and represents the optimum condition for both machinability and corrosion resistance.
